Deak Killer 2

A short, disturbing horror experience inspired by trashy 80s & 90s horror and Tales From the Crypt.

About the Game

Deak Killer 2: Ring, Ring is a short, cinematic horror experience inspired by trashy 80s and 90s horror films, late‑night television paranoia, and anthology classics like Tales From the Crypt.

Synopsis: After Chance’s girlfriend abruptly leaves, his quiet routine begins to fracture. Strange messages start arriving from her phone number — messages that should be impossible. Each notification pulls him deeper into a series of unsettling tasks, blurring the line between coincidence, manipulation, and something far worse.

The story unfolds subtly through environment, sound, and implication rather than exposition. What begins as curiosity slowly becomes dread, paranoia, and loss of control.

Gameplay & Mechanics

Deak Killer 2 focuses on atmosphere, pacing, and tension rather than complex mechanics. Gameplay is designed to keep players uneasy, never fully comfortable, and constantly questioning what will happen next.

You will explore confined environments, interact with objects, solve light puzzles, and respond to increasingly disturbing prompts delivered through the game’s narrative devices. Simple combat moments are used sparingly to maintain tension without breaking immersion.

Atmosphere & Presentation

The game’s presentation is intentionally raw and unsettling. Visual noise, grain, and lighting are used to evoke the feeling of degraded VHS recordings and late‑night horror television.

Players can choose from four visual filters, each subtly changing the mood and tone of the experience — from gritty analog horror to cleaner, more clinical dread.

Sound design plays a major role. Ambient hums, distant noises, and sudden audio cues are carefully placed to keep tension high even during quiet moments.

What to Expect

This is a focused, single‑session horror experience meant to be played in one sitting. It does not rely on excessive jump scares, but instead builds discomfort through pacing, implication, and unpredictability.

Recommended: Play with headphones, in a dark room, and without distractions.
